"Oscillation" offers a unique sensory experience, combining visual and auditory elements to engage participants in a dynamic interplay of light and sound. As visitors move through the exhibit, the crystals react, creating an immersive environment that encourages exploration and interaction. "How exactly does it work" is probably what your asking yourself at this point. As you walk toward the installation, it will play different sounds and pitches depending on their distance from it, and as people move and dance around, colors will reflect and refract light in different ways based on angle and position.
"Oscillation" is the creation of The Urban Conga, a Brooklyn-based design studio founded by Ryan Swanson and Maeghann Coleman. The studio focuses on promoting community activity and social interaction through open-ended play. Their work transforms public spaces into platforms for connection and creativity, encouraging communal engagement.
