Home-style green bean bake (green bean casserole)

Oven: 350F
Makes: 6 servings
1 10.75 ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese or American cheese (2 ounces)
1 2 ounce jar sliced pimiento, drained (optional)
6 cups of fresh green beans, rinsed and drained, cut with edges off
1 2.8 ounce can french-fried onions
Preheat the oven to 350F. In a large bowl, stir together soup, cheese, and if desired, pimiento. Stir in green beans. Transfer bean mixture to a 1 ½ quart casserole.
Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and stir; sprinkle with french-fried onions. Bake for 5 minutes more or until heated through.
