A recipe I found on the internet:
Ginger Snap Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and molasses.
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until they are set and have a slight golden color. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy your delicious ginger snap cookies! Optional: you can roll the dough in a mixture of granulated sugar and additional ground ginger before baking for a little extra flavor and crunch.
