The Ann Arbor District Library is ringing in the Chinese New Year with a vibrant celebration that promises fun for all ages! On Saturday, January 25, from 1 to 3 p.m., head to the library at 343 S. 5th Ave. to experience the rich cultural traditions of the Chinese New Year.

The event will feature exciting performances, including a traditional lion dance, energetic drumming, and captivating children's folk dance performances. It’s the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the holiday season.

Beyond the performances, there will be interactive activities for all ages. Participants can learn the art of playing the Chinese Yaogu drum, create festive crafts, and take home a traditional Chinese treat to mark the occasion.

This wonderful community event is presented by the Ann-Hua Chinese School in Ann Arbor, and it's a great way to celebrate cultural diversity and welcome the new year.

Don't miss out on this festive experience—mark your calendars and join us for an afternoon of learning, fun, and cultural exchange!
